I have owned this jacket for over a year now, and LOVE it. This jacket is substantially warmer than your fleece "jacket liner". I live in Michigan, and am an outdoorsman. I have put this jacket through quite a trial, and it has performed well, and held up well. The cellphone pocket is large enough to carry my Droid, but just barely. There were a couple things I thought this jacket was short on, and I remedied them myself. I felt the jacket needed armpit vents, so I installed 6" brass zippers. Now, if the day warms up, I don't have to overheat. Also, the hook and loop closure for the cellphone pocket and stormflap is USELESS, so I added black snaps, now it works beautifully. I am tempted to add an inside breast pocket and penloop, as well.
