Well. I'm a pretty big guy 300+ pounds 6ft purchased the xxl size. Fits very well I'm actually a 3x wearer on shirts and this fits big so def consider actual size when ordering because this runs bigger which to me is excellent. Material is well made. Inside pockets are big as the outside pockets are deep. Has the velcro on the chest for ur name us army and rank. I don't use those because I'm no longer in obviously.Cons to me:: the outside pockets are set back further on the side so you definitely have to reach further back to get into the outside side pockets. The inside pouches do not have velcro to close. If my memory serves me the winter fleece I was issued had velcro but I could be wrong. Either way velcro would of been I nice touch or side ways zipper. For the price, they def should of had something. The biggest con is the fleece material itself. Not sure if I got a bad one or if it's intentional but the material was sown upside down. Meaning on fleece if you move your hand across it punches material down n feels smooth and soft. If you move your the opposite direction it pulls material upward and feels rough and grabby. So if you put your hands on the jacket to feel the fleece and move from chest to hips it's rough but moving them upward is smooth. This is definitely not the way this material sown into clothing or blanket material so hopefully I just got a bad one that was made backwards but I doubt it and all of them are that way. They probably don't have a quality control. So with all that said. I gave it 3 stars. The jacket itself fits real nice. Zipper works well. Keeps you warm but it's those little flaws that the consumer finds that they want to justify what they spend. This is a $45 to $55 dollar jacket not $65 unless they improved the way the inner pockets are done, the way the fleece is sown on and the color is off too as this is brighter green than my issued one.Other then the fact this item runs like 3 sizes too big it’s great I ordered a small and it’s huge on me but it works for the moment and otherwise is great quality and warm.Excellent qualityThis fleece seems to be very thin compared to other polartec items that I have, and I found two small holes, one near the seam at the end of the sleeve, and one on the pocket. I had made arrangements to return it, but changed my mind because (1) I noticed that the vendor specified "We will not accept any returns unless we make a mistake" (never saw this before, and I wasn't up for going through the hassle of returning it, only to argue about whether the holes were a mistake or not) and (2) because it's super warm. I keep my home pretty cool in the winter and bought it to wear around the house, got the long for extra coverage when it's really cold, and am willing to patch it up.I'd give it a 5 if this review were only for the warmth and cozyness of this garment, but the holes make me wonder if there will be more developing as time goes on. I will update this review if the garment wears well and those are the only two holes that I have to deal with.Fits and feels just like my AF Sage Green I bought at military clothing sales. The only difference was the Sage Green was Polar Tech. I did get a smaller size (large) than the green one and it is a better fit. Good for layering or indoors as a sweater, but do not expect much wearing it by itself when outdoors. Designed to be worn under the Gortex jacket so it does do its job. No noticeable peeling or fuzz so far either.Well made. Color is good. A bit on the large size though. I have 2 others like this from other companies and they are cut smaller than this one. This does not make it a bad product, but just be aware of it when ordering. As to people who complained it is too light to wear when it is 20 deg., they need to realize this is only part of a 7 piece system which is based on layering. It isn't designed to be a big, heavy coat that you can wear in arctic temps. With a good base layer and a shell layer over top, it will easily keep you warm near or below freezing and still allow for ease of movement.Looked green if you are large get medium for use as a jacket liner .Its made big to fit over layers .so it’s one size up . If you want something that feels fitted and you normally wear a large get a medium for this thing because it’s made to fit over a small low loft jacket or layers .Will be returning it it looks kind of green too not so coyote brown like it should be after I return this I’m gonna get the proper made one that’s made in Dominican Republic .To me this thing is a jacket liner you can sweat get your body oil and salt in this thing throw in the wash machine as much as you like to keep your nice jackets from having to be washed too muchI'm relative average sized, 6"2'', 200 lbs, wide shoulders.Bought a large. This thing is wide. I feel like it was meant for the Stay Puft man. It's that kind of wide fit where you know you can't just order a smaller size, and by that I mean it most likely would just be shorter in length but still wide. We all know we are never wearing it over anything worth the extra room on the sides.I had it fitted and that tailor did a nice job concealing the work done.It also is a different green color, it's greener in person, and not like the issued ones. Might have to wear it and roll down a few hills when I'm bored. That's about all the action I see in an aviation unit.functional and well-designed.
