This is a nice jacket and I really like the look of it but it's not really a ski or snowboard jacket. Yes it says waterproof and it's made of down to keep you warm in cold weather but it does not provide any type of powder skirt or extra pockets like a normal snowboard jacket would. It doesn't necessarily state it's a ski/snowboard jacket but 686 is known primarily for its ski/snowboard gear so I was thrown off. It's just too pricey for me for not being an equipped snowboard jacket. Nice look though. I returned it.feels nice and warm. i can wear a shirt, vest, and poly hoodie underneath. the downside is the wrist cuffs. I looked this jacket on 686's website which suggests it a good snowboard jacket. The bad: zippers are TERRIBLE... it eats the fabric around it (there's only 3 zippers, the regular 2 outer pockets, and the front closure. It lacks interior zippers. The wrists for me are exactly like the photo... like not long or adjustable. I'm not model status, and arms aren't even longer than a regular person's, but the next size up would just be too loose on the body, as it's already roomy to begin with. Adjustable cuffs or thumbies would be nice so they slide into gloves with ease.Love.my coatGreat all around!I bought this coat last year. It does not look like a traditional snowboard jacket, but I used it all last year for snowboarding. It was a warm season, temps on the mountain did not drop below 30. It was perfect for ridding. If temps get down in the 20's I use my other 686 ridding jacket. It is a light weight jacket but still keeps you warm. I use it as an every day jacket too.
