I was really disappointed when I first got this jacket, as you can read my bad review below in which I gave it 1 star. But, since I kept it due to the hassle involved in returning it, I ended up wearing it all winter and it became my go to piece. Yes, the sleeves were waaaaaay too long for me. So, I rolled them up, and the neck was waaaaaay to high for me to wear zipped up as shown on the model. At first I thought I looked awful and was too embarrassed to go out in public. But, I found a turtleneck sweater to wear underneath that looked ok with the zipper open and the rolled up sleeves so found a look that suited my style. It did wash up nicely and never pilled (the way actual fleece has a bad tendency to do). I think it will last many seasons so in the end I don't regret my purchase and thought it would be fair to upgrade and rewrite the review to reflect that.*************************************************************************************************************We all hesitate to place clothing orders and this is one of my misadventures of ordering online. I've never purchased a Helly Hansen product before so was expecting far more from the brand. I'd send this back but shipping would just be more lost money down the drain as I'm based in Japan.What don't I like about this fleece? Well, for starters I was expecting something that was fuzzy and fleece as I apparently misunderstood what this company describes as "fleece". This jacket is more of a cheap feeling smooth polyester jersey like I might have worn in high school in the 1970s rather than what I have always known as "fleece". The Nordic design at the neck does indeed look like knitted stitches from afar -- except they feel rubbery and are embossed on to the surface of the jacket so the tactile feeling is cheap and nasty. I'm 5' 2" (160 cm) and the fit is totally wrong for me. The shoulder and chest measurements are perfect but the sleeve length is suitable for a gorilla. I need to roll the sleeves up 3 times to make them fit at the wrist as they do on the model! I ordered XL as I read that Helly Hansen clothing runs small and I'm a granny with middle-age spread. But besides the sleeve length being off, it is also way too long and fits more like a dress with super long arms. The neck is too high for me too but doesn't look good folded down. Given my overall disappointment in this garment, I will probably never buy from this company again.Amazon did ship extremely quickly and at a reasonable fee so I have no complaints there.It was better than expected.
