My 6 year old grandson loves it. He says it's warm, soft and cozy!My 9 year old son would give it 10 stars, I would give it 2. Got this for his birthday in January and he instantly *loved* it. He wears it constantly - won't go anywhere without it. It is super warm and fuzzy. At first it looked great, but - as others have noted - within a month it started to pill and get fuzzy looking. He still insists on wearing it, but I don't think it looks all that great anymore.Our 12 year old son got a very similar hoodie from Old Navy in December. He loves loves loves that one - and so do I because the outer fabric is a waffle weave and it has stood up to constant use much better - no pilling at all. Unfortunately, Old Navy had run out of them by January.I am a small woman that can wear big kids size clothing especially outerwear. I purchased size 16 boys navy blue Gioberti fleece lined zip up sweatshirt. It is just a little large and long in the sleeves but toasty warm. (Does not shrink.) Fleece lined in the hood and body and quilted material line the sleeves. I would love to give this item 5 stars but it pills badly. I spend more time grooming this sweatshirt than my dog. If this is not a concern to you than I highly recommend it but makes it a bit ratty looking in public.I have purchased several sizes of this jacket and each have kept up with an active child. All the jackets have washed well and are warm. I air dry them so the Sherpa can stay soft.It's a nice cozy and warm jacket. I bought one for my 7 year old son. I actually found a thicker sherpa hooded sweater at Costco that was cheaper, but of course...it was after I had already purchased this one. The one at Costco had designs on it so I decided to keep this jacket since it's a solid color.I bought two one for my 1st grader size6and one for my 6th grader size 16 and they fit perfectly exactly wat we wanted gives the look of a lighter jacket but the warmth and thickness of a coat and still light weight! So soft on the inside durable thick well made good size hood..AA+++ got in 3 daysI got this for my granddaughter and she loves everything about it except - the sleeves are not lined. So she thinks her arms are colder than the rest of her body. She thinks it would be perfect if the sleeves were lined.This would get 5 stars except that it pills badly. This hoodie is good quality, warm, and very comfortable. The fact that it pills terribly after just one washing is very disappointing.
