This is definitely an original jacket that's also very cozy and nice-looking. VERY well made and well-tailored. Sturdy and just as advertised. However,it doesn't seem warm enough for snowy weather. That would require at least two more layers underneath to provide the necessary warmth,but the jacket's waaay too tight on the armpits and chest to have more than one cotton layer underneath. Even a light second layer makes the fit uncomfortable (a hoodie would make it very hard to even zip up,which is a bummer). The problem is that, if I ordered one size up to leave room for extra inner layers, the arms would fit way to loosely: I ordered medium size and it's around 3-4cm too long for my arms already, so one size up would be good for inner layers, but bad for arm-length comfort. Other than that, it's a great jacket!bought little bigger XL for my 12yrs old scout to have space for layer up during winter camp, it's very light with double layer removable. he's happy.Great jacket, warm fleece and outer shell water proof good for rain and snow.My grandson would not take this off when he got it. Excellent quality.Did great in rain and cool mountain temperaturesI buy my son a new jacket every 2 years. It goes from big, to fits just right, to a bit short on the wrists.We love Columbia's jacket systems the best because he can take the lining out to wear for the cool but not cold days. He can use the shell over another jacket on wet days. He can take the hood off on the cold but dry days. This jacket is proving to be just as versatile and weather protective as his last Columbia jacket from 2016/17.PLUS, the colors and patterns are more 'grown up' which he likes as a mature nearly-9 year old.You can’t beat the bugaboo! This is our 3rd. So convenient and easy to detach the inner shell and wear. The wrist can cinch so I order a size up. Great for all weather and seasons. The outer shell makes a great rain coat and there’s a small bib on the hood.It's -3 degree centigrade in my place and this jacket helps a lot to keep me warm. I just wear a t-shirt or shirt under this jacket and it gives me sufficient heat to keep me warm. I'm just waiting to check whether it can support much lower temperature. Also the sizing is perfect and it feats me well. With a sweater it would be ok for Canadian winters. Waterproof and fits well. I ordered a size bigger for my son so it would fit next year also. Nice fleece inner jacket.
