Regular Fit. To ensure the size you choose is right, utilize our sizing chart and the following measurement instructions: For the sleeves, start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder and down to the sleeve. If you come up with a partial number, round up to the next even number. For the chest, measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
What a practical hooded jacket that's terrifically lightweight. It fits well. The XL accommodates my broad shoulders, and height (almost 5'11"). The mid section is too large for me, but I'm able to pull in the elasticised cord located in the bottom hem and it looks good, instead of being cattywampus which is sometimes the unfortunate result of using an elasticised cord. The sun is shining, but based on past experience, I know that Columbia jackets advertised as waterproof are indeed waterproof. Based on past experience I like Columbia. The Dark Nocturnal colour is lovely. Getting this jacket is a no brainer. It's packed for a trip to the Olympic Peninsula later this year and hiking at Ozette when it will be raining.I brought this jacket with me for a end of June/early July trip to Scotland and couldn't have been happier. It showed up in time and fit just right. I'm tall with long arms and the sleeves were just where I like them to land, with Velcro adjustable wrist cuff! There is a thin fleece-ish lining that kept me warm enough for the most part but the jacket had enough room that I could also layer a thin sweatshirt with it when needed in windy spots. It is most certainly waterproof and was very thankful for that. Also handy to have zip pockets! I am 5 8 , 155lbs and got a medium! This jacket is actually longer in the back and covers everything well when wearing leggings. It also fits in a more flattering way than other rain jackets I’ve had. I would recommend sizing up though because it is a little on the snug side. If I had ordered my normal size I’m not sure it would have fit well.5'7" and wear size 6 or 8. Long arms. Size medium fit perfectly and is flattering. Good for cool weather.Beautiful color and style, runs a bit small.A little tight in the chest area if you have bigger breast. But overall love it, the hood is major plus. You can also wear a long sleeve under or without getting too hotMuy ligero, cómodo y elegante. Además con material de alta calidad.Update 6/9/22I had a chance to actually test out the waterproof quality. Well... It's mixed. I realize it's a light weight jacket. Light and misty rains it has zero problem. I got stuck in a downpour a couple of times walking the dog (springtime in the PNW). Not only did it get really hot in anything over 55°it did not keep me fully dry. I wasn't soaked. But if you are gonna be in frequent downpours it heavy steady find something else. It's definitely a very narrow range temp jacket. Not a deal breaker, it's a nice jacket but I was hoping to find that perfect combo of breathable and rainproof. Oh well.**********************Got it, washed it, hung it dry. Wore it. I like the fit, it covers my hips and isn't so baggy and boxy like lots of plus size outerwear. It feels like a decent made piece. Zipper is smooth without catching.I do agree with those that call the lining cheap. I've had cheaper jackets lined with a nicer linings. The lining in that cheaper textured fuzzy stuff that picks up every piece of lint, pet hair and sticks to the velcro like flies on honey. I've only had it one day. Go figure.HOWEVER.... It doesn't feel weird and I like the jacket. While disappointing it's not a deal breaker. I have a heavy duty winter coat by Columbia and that's why I bought this one, I like the quality. I needed a decent light weight rain jacket. The price went up after I bought it.I'll update after I wear it in the rain. Of course I buy it and it stops raining. lol I live in the PNW so eventually it will tested.Well made jacket, ordered a 2X and it fits exactly as I expected it should. I'm not tall so it covers my butt nicely, and there is a gather cord to draw in the bottom hem. Nice and light but has a warm flannel lining, perfect for spring walks by the river. Delivered the next day. Very pleased.I just got this coat and love it. I'd tried a couple of other spring jackets but they were horrible so sending them back. But this one is perfect! The 2x is roomy enough for a thick sweater underneath but still fits very well. The sleeves are long enough for my arms (I'm 5'7") and don't rise up when my arms are fully extended, unlike others I tried. I could not be happier with this coat! To me, the "nocturnal blue" looks black. That's fine with me, as I would have ordered black if it was available. I haven't had a chance to wear this jacket yet, but I can't wait until spring to try it out. I'd rate this jacket 5 stars and recommend it.This jacket turned out to be absolutely perfect. It fits exactly right. I’m pretty tall so I was worried when I saw the size charts. I double checked against the Columbia website and it came in perfect at an XXL. Bonus I got a return from the Amazon warehouse with “minor imperfections” so it was super cheap. You can’t even see what they were talking about. It looks pristine to me! The nice thing about this jacket is that it doesn’t just get wider at bigger sizes. They do an excellent job of keeping the look flattering no matter what your size. This is a lightweight jacket for spring, fall or if you need some wind protection. It's hard to find jackets that cover your backside. I'm 5'7, 105lbs, straight up and down and got the Medium. It's not too baggy or too tight. I could have gotten the Small but it would have been a bit too tight and I wanted to put a hoodie or thicker layer underneath. If you are straight up and down this will fit you and drape nicely. It has darts in the back. The pockets are decent and zippers are thicker. The hood just covers your head but doesn't fall forward so don't expect it to shield your face from a lot of rain. The jacket would not work for heavy rains or downpours. It's just a good all-round jacket. The fit on this jacket is okay. There are wrinkles that just won't come out. The most aggravating aspect of the jacket is that it is extremely loud. With every movement, the fabric makes a noise. I only wore it once, as I felt like George Costanza when he wore his loud suit. Will never wear again. I would not recommend this product.
