Going to Iceland in a few months. Since they say the weather changes all the time and I hate cold or even cool weather, I bought this to go over anything including my heated vest. Fits exactly how I wanted it to fit and looks good. Now only have to see how it holds up under cool, wet weather.I'm going to get right to the criticism part of the review because I feel like that's the bit that would influence my decision on whether or not to buy this one. So the description reads "superior warmth," and we shall see about that. You can see and feel the thermal liner in this jacket. You really can. The back of the jacket looks like a big open tear with a few points stitched together. I assume this large pocket is for ventilation? I don't know. But the point is you can see there is a lining on the body of the jacket, and you can feel that it will be warm too. The sleeves do not feel like they are lined with anything, and you can feel that as well. Now I have to tell you I've been out riding a bike with this on. In terms of its ability to block the wet from all the rain we had in PA recently, I can tell you it does that job masterfully. But it's not really all that cold the now. It's cooler but comfortable. While I can tell the body of the jacket is warmer, I can also tell the sleeves are definitely not. But I have to be honest and tell you it hasn't been tested in really cold weather. I will come back and add to the review later to let you know how that goes, and I suspect it won't go well. But if you want to use it as a rain jacket, it definitely does what you need it to do. There is a good, ample and deep enough, to keep you covered and it has some glorious zip pockets on the front to store all the junk you need to carry about with you.No pockets on the inside which is a bit of a shame, and you have the usual Velcro sleeve fasteners and string pull thingy around the hood. It's a decent jacket, it really is. But be careful with your expectations on what it will do for you.I will be back later to tell you about how warm it is on both autumn and winter.**Updated**So it was around 40 degrees outside and I went out wearing this with a t shirt underneath. Suspicions confirmed that the body of this coat is warm and the sleeves a bit less so. However, it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be. For that reason I was happy to change from a three star rating to a four. It's a nice coat. It's a good coat. It won't do for really cold weather. Not at all, but as a fair weather and slightly cooler weather coat, I can tell you it's fine. This is an extremely lightweight, but durable water resistant wind breaking jacket. The material is tough enough to withstand walking up against a bush with thorns and not tear, but it is not the type of material that you want to be caught outside with below 40 degree weather.Understanding this, this is a fantastic jacket for the spring or fall for walking around when it is a slightly windy day or there is some rain in the forecast and you want to be warm without a sweatshirt but only wearing a jacket but also be protected from the wind and rain.I would not rely on this in a torrential downpour, but for the vast majority of light rain storms this is great.Especially if you are in Florida in the winter this is good.Overall, this excels at what it is designed for, which is a water resistant wind resistant light jacket.Great jacket/windbreaker. It the exceptionally water-resistant. But the best feature is the fleece inside on the back part. The hood rolls or folds up into a collar. Pockets are deep, which is a deal-breaker for me. I love the reflection logo at the back top, which is minimalistic but still versatile. It is incredibly lightweight and warm at the same time. I love wearing it at around 50 degrees outside, and it is perfect. Excellent gift idea of an active sports personTook me a while to have a chance to wear this jacket because I got it during a very hot summer, but a recent trip to the Colorado high country provided the cold nights that made this the perfect accompaniment. First, I'm 6'3" tall and weigh around 190, with long arms; I got the XL so that it would be wearable over a heavy flannel shirt or light sweater, and it fit perfectly. The fleece lining is thick enough to provide warmth without adding a lot of bulk, and the venting made it very comfortable to wear. All zippers worked fine and slid smoothly, and the pockets are large and will accommodate a lot of stuff, if needed. You'll look like a pack mule, of course, but that's a personal decision. I didn't get a chance to test the water repellency, which I suppose is good, but rain would have been welcome in this very dry summer.Overall, I like this jacket a lot. If I have one minor gripe it's that the nylon shell is a little crackly and noisy, which is what earned it a 4 rather than a 5. Not as bad as some others I've seen, but in this day of high-tech, quality fabrics, a quieter outer shell should be de rigueur.- my standard size is medium and medium size of this jacket was good fit for me . Going by experience sizes are standard fit- jacket is comfortable to wear , fleece is part of the jacket body and not for arms . It will be fine for fall season but will not work in winter- quality looks f workmanship is good- quality of material looks okDoes what it said keeps you dry unfortunately they forgot about the arms and you can feel the coldIf they make that adjustment to the arms I would give it a 5That being said I would recommend the product knowing the shortcomings
